My research, scholarship, and creative activity is predominately in the area of mathematical art.
I write and speak about connections between mathematics and art.
As an artist, I create art that explores mathematical themes such as symmetry, geometry, and number.
I frequently give talks and exhibit my original art at both the Joint Mathematics Meetings and the Bridges Conference, the largest international conference on mathematical art.
My piece
I also have expertise in medical imaging. I spent about ten years working on a variety of research projects involving digital radiography, MRI, nuclear medicine, and x-ray computed tomography.
