Goals

This project is designed to help you gain more familiarity with evaluating computers for purchase.

Tasks

Create a google spreadsheet for a hypothetical computer system. Imagine you are planning a purchase of a new computer system for home or work and you need to convince your boss or significant other that thisis a good purchase. Perform research and create a detailed spreadsheet about your potential computer system.

Assuming you have a budget of $2000, perform the following research:

What are your main computer activities?
• What type of computer will you get? (laptop, desktop, etc).
• What cpu performance do you need?
• What graphics performance do you need?
• How much secondary storage do you need?
• How much main memory do you need?
• What kind of display will you need?
• What peripheral devices (printers, scanners, etc) will you need?

Documents

Your spreadsheet will have a worksheets with the following information:

• item
• cost
• brief description

Use formulas for computing sums where possible. You will also need a row totaling the cost, wihch must be under $2000. Uses color (text or background) and text attributes (bold, italics, font, etc) to help the viewer.

Write a short (250-500 words) on why this computer system will meet your needs. Be shure to justify the purchase of each item. Put this in a google doc.

Deliverables

Once you have competed the spreadsheet and google doc, share them with me.
